CCTA + CleerlyPlaque Analysis
At Gillett Health, we offer a standalone service for Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) combined with Cleerly Plaque Analysis, followed by a comprehensive virtual consultation with Dr. Thomas Egan. This service is designed to help you better understand your heart health, identify the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD), and gain actionable insights into your vascular condition.
What is a CCTA?
CCTA is a non-invasive imaging technique that provides high-resolution 3D images of the coronary arteries. It allows us to assess the presence of plaque buildup or blockages that could lead to heart disease or increase the risk of a heart attack. CCTA is a valuable diagnostic tool because it can detect early-stage cardiovascular disease, even before symptoms appear, helping individuals make informed decisions about their health.
What is Cleerly Plaque Analysis?
Cleerly is an advanced AI-powered platform that performs in-depth plaque analysis, providing a more precise, detailed view of the coronary arteries and the plaque within them. This analysis goes beyond what traditional imaging can offer, identifying the type, location, and severity of plaque buildup and helping to predict your cardiovascular risk. Cleerly’s comprehensive report is generated in just a few days and is crucial in understanding your vascular health in a way that standard imaging alone cannot.
Why is this service important?
Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide. By combining CCTA with Cleerly’s AI-driven analysis, we can identify signs of cardiovascular disease early, enabling personalized care plans to reduce risks and improve heart health. This service is ideal for individuals with a family history of heart disease, those experiencing unexplained chest discomfort, or anyone looking to proactively monitor their cardiovascular health.
Details on the process:
1. Cost breakdown
After your CCTA is completed, Dr. Thomas Egan will review the imaging and determine which Cleerly analysis is most appropriate based on your results.
Plaque analysis only (does not include FFR): This option provides a detailed assessment of coronary plaque, including plaque burden, composition, and distribution.
Gillett Health member price: $700;
Non-member price: $750
Plaque + Ischemia analysis (includes FFR):
This option includes the detailed plaque analysis described above, along with FFR analysis to evaluate whether any identified narrowing may be affecting blood flow to the heart.
Gillett Health member price: $800; Non-member price: $850
Not every patient requires FFR analysis. Dr. Egan will recommend either plaque analysis alone or plaque analysis with ischemia assessment based on the CCTA findings and your individual clinical needs.
Please note: The cost of the CCTA imaging itself is separate and is paid directly to the imaging facility through MDsave.
2. Payment collection
The $500 payment is required prior to initiating your CCTA order. Once Dr. Egan has reviewed your CCTA results and determined which Cleerly analysis is appropriate, our office will notify you of his recommendation. Payment for the selected analysis is required before your imaging records are submitted to Cleerly.
3. Imaging payment via MDSave
As our office does not perform on-site imaging, we use MDsave to help patients access cash-pay CCTA imaging services. Imaging prices vary by facility and location. Please note: The imaging cost is separate from the Cleerly analysis and consultation pricing listed above and is paid directly through MDsave. Because the imaging is completed at an outside facility, this service is available to patients throughout the United States.
4. Imaging completion & Cleerly analysis
After your CCTA is completed, Dr. Egan will review the imaging and determine whether plaque-only analysis or plaque analysis with FFR is recommended. If you choose to proceed, our staff will obtain the necessary imaging records and submit them to Cleerly for analysis. Cleerly results are typically returned to our office within 3–7 business days after the imaging records are received and accepted.
5. Review and appointment scheduling
Once your Cleerly analysis is complete, our staff will notify you that your results are ready. You may then schedule your virtual follow-up appointment with Dr. Thomas Egan to review the findings and discuss any recommended next steps.
